My favorite Festivity

Christmas is celebrated on the 25 of December. This festivity has christian roots. Christmas remember the born of Jesus, son of God. This starts century´s ago. Some people says this festivity start in Latin America in 1492. This festivity was celebrated with the denominated Christmas tree, symbol of love to God. With the past of the time, this celebrity experiment so many transforms. A particular character of this day is Santa Claus, a person with a red suit who fly through the world in a sled carry by reindeer's. This is a religious and familiar festivity, in where the family get together around the Christmas tree and give gifts to each one of them. Although it´s true that celebration become in a really commercial  tradition, is a really good moment to share with your most loved people. The especially thing that I really enjoy of this day, is the dinner. Is a tradition in my family to prepare a big dinner, sometimes a barbecue. Another thing that do in my family is remember all the people that isn´t be in this world, all the people are gone, especially to my godfather. Is a very special moment to everyone.

A photograph

I find this photograph to much eloquent. I don´t known who take this photograph, but it seems to me very interesting. In this photograph I can see a shadow in a deteriorated wall a photograph of a girl, I think she is his daughter. I also observed a box with a so many syringes, those that seem to be drugs. I think this shadow como from a person who had a normal life, but he made many mistakes in his life and lost everything, and he took away all his loves ones. The picture of the virgin makes me believe what he still hope that can recover his life. This photograph makes me think that selfishness for a good while, can destroy to many lifes, not only life itself, also to the life of families, of children. Some times it´s too easy move in your life, do anything you want, and kill any good reason to live.

My best friend

I don´t have to many friends, because to me a friend is a person that I can really trust. And if there is a person I can really trust, is my best friend Diego. I met him 8 years ago. I changed to a new school, and i knew to Diego here, we were classmates. I consider Diego my best friend, because he is, maybe the only person who has been in the good and the bad times, even in the darkest times. The best memory I have of him, it´s 4 years ago, when because for a disease, I finish in the hospital for three weeks. In this time, i was really lonely, the only person what was going, was my mom, not even my brothers going to see me. But unexpetedly, Diego went to see me almost all days to the hospital. For this and to many things more, he always be my friend. 

My favorite piece of technology

Well, in technology themes i don’t know much, but if exist a piece of technology that i consider really important in this times, is the cellphone.
The cellphone is really useful to be in your social networks, and in case of emergency, this thing helps you to communicate with anybody. My mom gifted to me my first cellphone when i was 13, because i started to study away from home, and if anything happened i could call her. Now i use it to talk with my friends and to know university things, I really like the cellphone for this, and because I can use it to listen music. If this technology thing doesn’t exist, maybe the communication with another person would more complicated, but the relations between people would very much real. 

Why did you choose your career/ study programme?

Like many kids, when I was younger, my dream jobs was be a cop or a fireman, because I saw a lot of cops and fireman on the TV shows. But when I reached the age of 13, my dreams job changed. Now I going to be a doctor, because my mother wanted this. However, I realized that I don´t really like the medicine. I wanna help people, but with another different way. After that, when I reached the age of 17, I finished the school and after the PSU, the things that I interest was the psychology and the sociology, but nothing really convince me. Finally I was selected in sociology. My first year in the university was really good, i meet good people and for first time in a long time, I felt that I was doing something that I really like. I really enjoy study social science. I think, the kind of job that I will like to have in a future, is making public politics, because maybe this way going to allow me, improve the quality of life for many people.

My Auto Biography

Hello everyone. This is my first post of the semester. My name is Jorge Jara and i live in La Cisterna with my mom and my brother. I am 19 years old. I was born in Santiago of Chile. I am studying sociology in the University of Chile at the moment. In my free time, i like play so many sports, but mi favourite sport is basketball. Also i like read books and watch movies. In the summer, i really enjoy travel to another cities with my friends. I don´t like to much the summer, because i hate the warm days.
I really love the animals, but my favourite animal is the dog. The dogs are really awesome, in fact, i have a dog and his name is Tatan. He is so cute.
